Paris Saint-Germain manager, Luis Enrique, has attributed his side’s emphatic 4-0 victory over Real Madrid in the FIFA Club World Cup semi-final on Wednesday to the outstanding performance of his players.

Speaking after the match, Enrique praised his team’s resilience and intensity, highlighting how they battled through difficult conditions to overcome the Spanish giants.

PSG sealed the win with goals from Fabian Ruiz, Ousmane Dembele, and Goncalo Ramos, overpowering a Real Madrid side led by Xabi Alonso.

“It is a very special moment for us, Parisians, for all the supporters, the entire club,” Enrique told PSG TV.

“I think we did a really good job and played a great match. We are happy, we are in the final and it has been an incredible season. We want to win this [Club World Cup] final.

“Everyone saw the stifling heat, it is incredible to play in that. I think it affected both teams [PSG and Real Madrid], but we kept playing and fighting,” he added.

With the convincing semi-final win, PSG now advance to face Chelsea in the final on Sunday at the MetLife Stadium.
