Club W’Cup: Juventus, Man City join Flamengo, Bayern in knockouts

Juventus and Manchester City have secured their places in the Round of 16 at the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, becoming the latest teams to advance from the group stage.

Juventus kicked off their tournament in emphatic fashion, cruising to a 5-0 victory over Al Ain on Sunday.

They followed it up with another dominant performance, brushing aside Wydad AC with a 4-1 win to seal qualification.

Kenan Yildiz was instrumental in the win, netting twice and influencing an own goal, as the Italian giants overwhelmed their Moroccan opponents.

Elsewhere in Group G, Manchester City delivered a masterclass with a 6-0 demolition of Al Ain.

Ilkay Gündogan scored twice, Erling Haaland grabbed his first goal of the tournament, while Claudio Echeverri, Oscar Bobb and Rayan Cherki also got on the scoresheet.

With these results, Juventus and Manchester City now join Bayern Munich and Flamengo in the knockout stage, setting up what promises to be an electrifying Round of 16.
