Popular actor-turned-preacher Woli Arole has issued a strong message to Christians, urging them to stop prioritizing wealth accumulation as their primary life goal.

The comedian-turned-prophet emphasized that Jesus Christ’s sacrifice was for eternal salvation, not material riches.

In a recent Instagram post that has sparked discussions, Arole expressed deep concern about the growing materialism in churches.

He wrote: “I say this as God’s prophet: Mammon is already creeping into the church, the talk of money, the worship of money. Christ did not die so we could become rich; He died so we could have eternal life. Wake up, oh saints. Share this message!!”

The social media preacher, known for his prophetic messages and spiritual counsels, has consistently used his platform to address what he views as moral declines in Christian circles.

Arole previously advised Christians who constantly criticize shows like Big Brother Naija to channel their energy differently, stating: “Instead of complaining, wealthy Christians should create their own reality shows.” He has also cautioned believers against self-righteous condemnation, saying: “You don’t have the right to say how good or bad a person is.”

In one of his annual prophecies, Arole declared: “This year will bring disgrace to side chicks and men who cheat with younger women,” while calling for repentance and righteous living. Last year, he specifically warned young women: “Our young ladies need to understand that their destinies are more than sex and money,” highlighting how many destinies were being destroyed by immoral relationships.

The preacher also raised a spiritual alert about dangers near Lagos’ Otedola Bridge, cautioning people to be vigilant in that area. Arole’s latest message reinforces his stance against the prosperity gospel’s excesses, urging believers to refocus on spiritual growth rather than material gain.

As his influence grows beyond comedy into spiritual leadership, Woli Arole remains a vocal figure challenging modern Christian practices while advocating for what he believes is a purer, faith-centered life.
