Chelsea completed an extraordinary comeback to secure a 4-1 victory over Real Betis in the UEFA Europa Conference League final on Wednesday, making history as the first club to win all four of UEFA’s major club competitions.

The London side trailed early on in Wroclaw, Poland, after Abdessamad Ezzalzouli gave Betis the lead in the ninth minute.

However, Chelsea turned the match around dramatically after the break. Enzo Fernandez and Nicolas Jackson both found the net within five minutes, each capitalizing on precise deliveries from Cole Palmer.

Jadon Sancho and Moises Caicedo then added further goals to seal a dominant second-half display.

The triumph adds the Conference League trophy, introduced in 2021 as UEFA’s third-tier tournament, to Chelsea’s illustrious European collection, which already includes Champions League titles (2012, 2021), Europa League crowns (2013, 2019), and two Cup Winners’ Cups (1971, 1998).

It was Betis’ first-ever appearance in a European final, but despite a bright start, they struggled to maintain momentum after halftime.

The final was marred by unrest in the host city before kickoff, as police detained 28 individuals following incidents of fan disorder.
