Chelsea are reportedly looking to secure the services of Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho by proposing a high-profile swap deal this summer.
As reported by The Athletic and relayed by Football365, the West London club is offering forwards Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku in exchange for the Argentine talent.
The move is seen as an attempt by Chelsea to reduce United’s valuation of Garnacho, who is believed to carry a hefty £45 million price tag.
Manchester United are open to selling the 21-year-old winger but have shown preference for a cash deal.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are hoping to leverage their attacking assets to facilitate the transfer.
Despite interest from Serie A side Napoli, who consider Garnacho’s valuation steep, the young attacker is reportedly determined to continue his career in the Premier League.
Since arriving from Atletico Madrid in 2020, Garnacho has grown into a key figure at Old Trafford, earning promotion to the senior squad in 2022.
Elsewhere, Chelsea boss Ruben Amorim is actively reinforcing his squad, having already brought in Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo to bolster their attacking options.
The addition of Garnacho would further underline the club’s intent to revamp their forward line ahead of the new season.
