Home-based Super Eagles skipper, Junior Nduka, has emphasized the importance of finishing Nigeria’s 2024 African Nations Championship campaign on a high note.
The Super Eagles face Congo in a crucial Group D clash at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Tuesday.
Congo, under coach Éric Chelle, have already been knocked out of the tournament following defeats to defending champions Senegal and Sudan.
Nduka’s Call to Action
Nigeria began their campaign with a narrow 1-0 loss to Senegal before suffering a heavy 4-0 defeat against Sudan.
Reflecting on the team’s situation, Nduka stressed the need to deliver for their nation.
“We need a win for the country. We’ll give everything against Congo,” he told the CAF official website.
“The two defeats affected us, but we must bounce back.”
