Grammy Award-winning Nigerian artist Burna Boy has celebrated Portable’s recent boxing triumph by gifting him a generous N20 million.
Portable, widely known as the ‘Zazu’ crooner, clinched the ‘Chaos in the Rings’ title after his opponent, Speed Darlington, bowed out of the bout due to a broken arm sustained in the first round and failed to return for the second.
In a gesture that has since gone viral, Burna Boy, who has had his own share of clashes with Speed Darlington—rewarded Portable with the multimillion-naira gift.
Portable took to his social media on Saturday to share the news, writing, “20 million from @burnaboygram.
‘If you wanna be like Odogwu, can you do like Odogwu?
God bless your family.’”
