Brazilian winger, Marquinhos, has officially parted ways with Arsenal, sealing a permanent move to Cruzeiro, according to European transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The 22-year-old had initially joined the Brazilian outfit on loan in January, with the agreement containing a clause mandating a permanent transfer upon reaching a specific number of appearances.

“It’s over between Arsenal and Marquinhos as Brazilian winger joins Cruzeiro on permanent deal until 2028,” Romano confirmed in a post on X.

Arsenal reportedly had no intention of sending Marquinhos out on loan again, as he no longer featured in manager Mikel Arteta’s plans.

Marquinhos first featured competitively for the Gunners on 8 September 2022, scoring in a 2-1 Europa League win over FC Zurich.

He later made his Premier League debut on 18 September, replacing Bukayo Saka late in a 3-0 victory over Brentford.

During his time at Arsenal, he was loaned out to Norwich City, Nantes, Fluminense, and most recently Cruzeiro before completing the switch permanently.
