Boxing: Joshua, Jake Paul fight may hold 2026 – Promoter

British boxing promoter, Eddie Hearn, has revealed that a blockbuster showdown between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul could be on the cards for 2026.

Joshua, who suffered a knockout defeat to Daniel Dubois last September, is eyeing a strong return to the ring, with speculation also linking him to a potential clash against Tony Yoka.

Speaking to Boxing 247, Hearn disclosed that he recently held promising discussions with Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions, hinting that momentum is building behind the proposed bout.

“I had a good chat for about an hour with Nakisa on [July 30], and now I believe they want the fight. I really do.

“Nakisa was very honest, and he’s concerned about the fight, but Jake truly believes he can win the fight or at least be competitive in it.

“Now, because of the size of the fight, it leads me to believe there’s a very good chance it could happen. It’s 50:50 [that it happens].

“It was a very positive conversation, and we expect that conversation to extend over the coming weeks,” Hearn said.

While the potential matchup may raise eyebrows, the buzz surrounding the possible 2026 bout continues to grow, with further talks expected to shape its outcome.
