Barcelona have bolstered their attacking options with the signing of Swedish winger Roony Bardghji from FC Copenhagen, the La Liga champions announced on Monday.
“The winger has signed for the next four seasons, until June 30, 2029,” the Catalan club confirmed in a statement, though the fee involved was not disclosed.
However, Spanish media outlets report the 19-year-old made the switch for approximately 2.5 million euros ($3 million).
Bardghji made a name for himself in Denmark, scoring 15 goals in 84 appearances for Copenhagen after breaking into the senior squad during the 2021/2022 campaign.
His progress was halted in May 2024 due to a serious knee injury that sidelined him for nearly a year. He eventually returned to action in March 2025.
Now fit again, Bardghji becomes Barcelona’s second summer addition following the arrival of goalkeeper Joan Garcia from cross-city rivals Espanyol.
The Sweden U21 international is expected to feature in Barcelona’s pre-season tour, after which new head coach Hansi Flick will assess whether he is ready to be integrated into the senior squad for the upcoming campaign.
