Barcelona manager, Hansi Flick, has committed his future to the club by extending his contract until June 2027, the reigning Spanish champions announced on Wednesday.
In his debut season at Camp Nou, the German tactician guided the Catalan giants to a stunning domestic treble, clinching the La Liga title, Copa del Rey, and Spanish Super Cup.
“Barcelona and Hansi Flick have reached an agreement for the renewal of his contract which will tie him to the club until 30 June 2027,” the club revealed in an official statement.
Flick stepped into the role following Xavi Hernandez’s departure after a trophyless campaign and wasted no time in turning fortunes around.
Initially handed a contract running through 2026, the former Bayern Munich and Germany national team boss has impressed with his dynamic style of play.
Under Flick’s leadership, Barcelona have dazzled fans both domestically and in Europe.
They reached the UEFA Champions League semi-finals before being edged out by Inter Milan in a dramatic encounter.
In La Liga, Barca’s attacking prowess has been on full display, netting 99 goals in 37 matches en route to securing the league title. Their season concludes with a final clash against Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.
