Arsenal need stronger squad to win titles, says Ian Wright

Former Arsenal forward, Ian Wright, has expressed concerns about the depth of Mikel Arteta’s squad, suggesting it lacks the strength required to secure major titles.

Wright, speaking on Premier League Productions, urged the Gunners to take full advantage of the upcoming summer transfer window to bolster their team.

According to him, Arteta’s side has endured a challenging campaign, highlighting the need for reinforcements if they are to compete seriously on all fronts.

“They want to win the Premier League. They want to win the Champions League,” Wright said.

“The squad is no where near deep enough to go into those competitions with the confidence of winning them,” he added.

Arsenal are reportedly targeting additions in three key areas, a striker, a defensive midfielder, and a winger, in a bid to strengthen their title credentials.

Despite a spirited run, the North London club finished second in the Premier League, behind newly crowned champions Liverpool.
