The All Progressives Congress has moved its National Executive Committee meeting, originally slated for its national secretariat, to the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The meeting, which will now hold on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., will take place at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa.

This was confirmed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, in a statement released on Wednesday.

“The change of venue from the party’s National Secretariat – 40 Blantyre Street, Wuse II, Abuja – to the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, is due to logistical reasons,” Morka explained.

The rescheduled NEC meeting comes at a crucial time for the ruling party, as it is expected to address key leadership issues following the resignation of former National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, in June. Ganduje reportedly stepped down due to health concerns.

Although no formal replacement has been announced, party insiders indicate that acting chairman, Ali Bukar Dalori, may continue to steer the party’s affairs until a national elective convention is held.

The meeting will also deliberate on the progress made by the APC Constitution Review Committee and discuss the party’s digital membership registration initiative in preparation for the 2027 general elections.

An APC official, who spoke anonymously, noted, “The NEC meeting is a strategic gathering that will shape the party’s direction moving forward. The decision to move it to the Villa underscores its significance.”
