Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has criticized the All Progressives Congress, accusing the party of worsening the plight of Nigerians and deepening poverty across the nation.
Speaking during the inauguration of the newly elected executive members of the Peoples Democratic Party North-East zone in Bauchi on Monday, the governor expressed his disappointment with the APC-led government.
He asserted that the ruling party had failed to fulfill its promises and instead contributed to greater hardship for the Nigerian people.
“The APC has failed to deliver on its promises, instead created more hardship for Nigerians and deepened poverty. It is time for a change, and the PDP is poised to reclaim the hopes and dreams of the Nigerian people,” Governor Mohammed said.
The governor further urged the new PDP executives to rise to the occasion and take on the responsibility of repositioning the party in preparation for the 2027 general elections. He emphasized that the upcoming election would be about more than just political power—it would be a fight for the future of the nation’s children, security, and the overall well-being of Nigerians.
While assuring the party leadership of his support, Governor Mohammed called on them to be change makers who would lead with integrity, compassion, and dedication to the people. He reminded the new executives that they were “the vanguard of change in the region” and carried a significant responsibility on their shoulders.
