The ruling All Progressives Congress on Sunday, July 23, 2023, celebrated its immediate former National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, on his 77th birthday.

In a statement through its official Twitter handle, the party said it joins the family, friends, and associates of the former chairman in wishing him a joyous birthday celebration.

APC, however, prayed to God to grant Senator Adamu wisdom and good health to continue serving humanity.

“Our great party joins family, friends, and associates in wishing our immediate-past National Chairman, HE Senator Abdullahi Adamu CON, a happy 77th birthday.

“We pray for Senator Adamu’s wisdom and good health in his continued service to humanity,” the party wrote.

Premium Politics had reported earlier that Senator Adamu and the immediate National Secretary of the APC, Senator Iyiola Omisore, tendered their resignation letters to the leadership of the party last week.

However, the two vacant positions have generated a lot of controversies within the leadership of the party, which led to speculation that President Bola Tinubu was trying to compensate the immediate former governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, with the position of Chairman.

Meanwhile, the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Felix Morka, has since denied any crack in the party, claiming that the two officials resigned in good faith and that the party will soon come to a conclusion about how to arrange for a mini-convention to fill the vacuum.
