The champions received a hero’s welcome on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, as Amstel Malta and Goldberg joined forces to host a lavish celebration in honour of the Super Falcons, following their historic 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations win in Rabat, Morocco.
The celebratory event, driven by the Falcons’ unyielding spirit and proudly sponsored by Nigerian Breweries brands, Goldberg and Amstel Malta, was a reflection of the team’s excellence, unity, and perseverance.
Goldberg, known for representing the “Gold Standard,” resonated deeply with the team’s character, while Amstel Malta, with its powerful message of “Be Your Best,” recognized the Falcons’ record-breaking feat as a moment of national pride.
The festivities began at 11:30 a.m. as the triumphant team landed at the General Aviation Terminal of Murtala Mohammed Airport in Lagos.
From there, the Super Falcons were transported in style to Nigerian Breweries Plc headquarters in Iganmu, where a vibrant cultural welcome awaited, complete with traditional music, dance, and cheering staff members.
Inside the brewery’s premises, the management team, led by Managing Director Thibaut Boidin, warmly received the team.
In a touching gesture of appreciation, Nigerian Breweries presented the Falcons with a cheque of ₦50 million.
Speaking on behalf of her teammates, team captain, Rasheedat Ajibade, conveyed heartfelt thanks for the warm reception and recognition.
Sandra Amachree, Head of Marketing Communications at Nigerian Breweries, delivered an inspiring tribute to the team, “Congratulations, Super Falcons on your 10th WAFCON victory, your win is nothing short of legendary. At Nigerian Breweries, we don’t see this as just another trophy,” she said.

Following the reception, the team embarked on a thrilling victory parade across Lagos, a dazzling open-bus trophy tour from Marina to Victoria Island that brought thousands of fans to the streets in joyous celebration.
The celebration later moved to a more exclusive setting, a dinner held at the Sky Lounge, Eko Hotel & Suites, hosted by popular content creator KieKie.
Among the distinguished guests were Sarah Agha, Marketing Director of Nigerian Breweries; top brand distributors and partners; and several notable figures in the Nigerian football scene including NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau, WAFU B President, and football legend Jay Jay Okocha. Other dignitaries in attendance included Alhaji Sharif Rabiu Inuwa, Chairman of the NFF Technical and Development Committee; former NFF Vice President Seyi Akinwunmi; Damilare Orimolade, SSA to the Lagos State Governor on Sport; Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Toke Benson; and the Director General of the Sports Commission, Lekan Fatodu.
A host of media and entertainment personalities were also present, such as Lanre Da-Silva, Kelechi Amadi-Obi, Ladipoe, Diane Russet, Beverly Osu, Kunle Remi, Hilda Bacci, Layi Wasabi, Stan Nze, King Wole Ojo, Ocee and Ozee Mbadiwe, Lubiya, and Folagbade Banks.
The night sparkled with a surprise live performance by Johnny Drille, electrifying dance numbers, engaging games, and an energetic afterparty led by crowd-favourite hype man, Do2dtun.
