Tennis sensation, Carlos Alcaraz, has thrown his support behind Real Madrid’s latest acquisition, Trent Alexander-Arnold, tipping the Englishman to become the best right-back in the world.

Alcaraz, a self-professed fan of the Spanish giants, also expressed deep admiration for the former Liverpool star.

Speaking in an interview shared by BBC Sport, the seven-time ATP 1000 champion said via Madrid Xtra on X, “It’s great having Trent at Real Madrid. Huge respect to him. I’m pretty sure he’s going to be the BEST RB in the world.”

Alexander-Arnold’s move to the Santiago Bernabéu comes amid increasing concerns over veteran right-back Dani Carvajal’s fitness.

The 33-year-old Spaniard is currently nursing an ACL injury, leaving a void that Madrid hopes the English international can fill effectively.

Known for his attacking prowess and ability to whip precise deliveries into the box, Alexander-Arnold brings more than just defensive reliability.

His speed allows him to recover swiftly, making him an asset on both ends of the pitch.

Under the leadership of new manager Xabi Alonso, the full-back could become a key figure in Madrid’s system.

Alonso’s tactical approach often encourages full-backs to push forward, which could amplify Alexander-Arnold’s influence in the final third.

With a creative spark and an eye for goal, the 25-year-old may even see his attacking numbers improve.

During his time at Liverpool, he registered an impressive 92 assists and scored 23 goals in 354 appearances, a record that speaks volumes of his impact.
