Mozambique will be without defender Nené and midfielder Edmilson for their 2026 Africa Cup of Nations Round of 16 clash against Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
The duo have been sidelined through injury, with Nené nursing a muscle problem while Edmilson is ruled out due to a knee issue.
There is, however, encouraging news from the Mambas’ camp ahead of the encounter, as four influential players have been cleared to feature.
Full-back Calila has fully recovered from a muscle injury and is now available for selection.
Meanwhile, Guima, Witi and Gildo, who had been struggling with flu-like symptoms in recent days, have all regained full fitness and are set to face the Super Eagles.
Mozambique will take on Nigeria at the Complexe Sportif de Fès on Tuesday night.
Kick-off is scheduled for 8pm Nigerian time.
