The Confederation of African Football in partnership with the AFCON Morocco 2025 Local Organising Committee, has announced that international fans travelling for the upcoming tournament will now receive free electronic visas.
The new policy applies to citizens of countries that ordinarily require a visa to enter Morocco. In a statement published on Friday, CAF said the initiative was introduced to ease access for supporters and enhance turnout for Africa’s premier football event.
“Electronic visas to enter Morocco — obtained through the YALLA app — are now free of charge for supporters attending the competition, which runs from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026,” the statement read.
CAF explained that the decision was informed by rising global interest in AFCON 2025, with ticket demands increasing as the tournament draws closer.
According to the organisers, spectators will be required to secure two key documents: a Fan ID and an e-visa.
“A Fan ID is mandatory for entry to all stadiums and official Fan Areas,” CAF noted. “Supporters can apply for both the Fan ID and e-visa in one place inside the YALLA app, streamlining travel and stadium access.”
The football body added that both processes are designed to be fast, integrated, and secure.
“The Fan ID application and e-visa request are completed seamlessly within the YALLA app, ensuring a faster, easier and secure experience for international visitors and local fans alike,” it said.
To apply, fans are advised to download the YALLA app from Google Play or the App Store, or visit the official YALLA website. From there, they can complete the Fan ID form and submit an e-visa request, where applicable. Once approved, they may proceed to purchase match tickets through CAF’s ticketing platform.
CAF said the new measures aim to create a smooth travel and stadium-entry experience as the tournament is staged across nine venues in six Moroccan cities.
Morocco is hosting the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time since 1988, and expectations remain high ahead of the event, which will feature 24 national teams and a new generation of African football stars set to compete for continental glory.
