Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing to challenge for the signature of Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen, as the Premier League club looks to bolster its attacking options before the summer transfer window closes.
Having already emerged as one of Europe’s biggest spenders this summer, Spurs are now said to have identified the Nigerian international as a key target to complete their forward line.
The north London side have invested more than £230m on new recruits during the current transfer window.
Sandro Tonali, Matheus Fernandes and Jan Paul van Hecke are among the notable arrivals, but the club remain keen to strengthen further in attack.
According to CaughtOffside, Tottenham are willing to table an offer worth £65m for Osimhen.
However, that valuation may fall short, considering the striker’s importance to Galatasaray, his long-term contract running until 2029, and the fact that the Turkish champions signed him for €75m (£65m).
Galatasaray are reportedly demanding €150m for the Super Eagles forward, who has previously stated that he would only consider leaving if the club decided it was the right time for him to move on.
CaughtOffside further reported that Spurs have now received “sporting approval” to “begin formal negotiations” for Osimhen’s transfer.
The report also claimed there is confidence that agreeing personal terms “would not create a major obstacle”.
Osimhen has enjoyed remarkable success in recent seasons, helping his clubs secure three league titles in four years.
He inspired Napoli to the Serie A crown in the 2022/23 campaign before playing a pivotal role in Galatasaray’s consecutive Turkish Super Lig triumphs in the 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons.
The 27-year-old has scored 107 goals in 145 appearances across all competitions over the last four seasons. He has also impressed on Europe’s biggest stage, registering 16 goals in 27 UEFA Champions League matches.
Osimhen has repeatedly been linked with a move to the Premier League, with Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea all credited with interest at different stages, although none succeeded in completing a deal.
The prolific striker has also attracted reported interest from Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Bayern Munich.
