The ceremony will take place on Sunday, July 19, at the New York New Jersey Stadium, beginning at 1:30 p.m. local time, 90 minutes before the World Cup final kicks off.
The event will mark the conclusion of the biggest FIFA World Cup in history, celebrating the journey of the 48 participating teams across the three host nations, the United States, Canada and Mexico and their 16 host cities.
Jennifer Hudson, an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award winner, will perform the United States national anthem before the final, setting the tone for football’s showpiece event.
Music stars Laura Pausini, Nicole Scherzinger, Robbie Williams and IShowSpeed will entertain fans during the pre-match show, while Tom Cruise is expected to make a special appearance.
FIFA added that more performers and special guests will be announced in the coming days.
The ceremony is being produced in collaboration with Balich Wonder Studio and is designed to showcase the passion, culture and global unity that have defined the expanded 48-team tournament.
According to FIFA, supporters attending the final will also be part of the spectacle and are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the full pre-match experience.
Stadium gates will open at 11:00 a.m. local time, giving fans access to a range of activities, including interactive experiences, rewards and entertainment before the ceremony begins.
“Echoing the spirit of the opening ceremonies, which welcomed the world to the greatest stage in Canada, Mexico and the United States, the closing ceremony will bring the FIFA World Cup 2026 full circle through music, culture and football, before we kick off the highly anticipated match that will crown the champions of this groundbreaking tournament,” said Heimo Schirgi, Chief Operating Officer – FIFA World Cup 2026.
