Veteran Nollywood actress Sola Sobowale has marked a significant family milestone as her daughter, Olamide Sobowale, traditionally married her partner, Francis Osinloye, in a colourful ceremony held in Ibadan.
The event, which took place on Saturday in Oyo State, followed a series of pre-wedding activities, including a “Mother’s Night” organised in honour of the bride.
Family members, friends, and well-wishers gathered to witness the celebration, with photos and videos from the ceremony widely shared across social media platforms.
The lively occasion drew warm reactions from fans and colleagues of the actress, many of whom flooded online spaces with congratulatory messages to the Sobowale family.
In the days leading up to the wedding, Sobowale had shared heartfelt messages and prayers for the couple, expressing her joy and hopes for their future together.
“I am grateful to God for this moment. I pray your union is filled with love, peace, and everlasting joy,” she wrote in one of her posts.
The couple had earlier formalised their union with a civil ceremony in the United Kingdom in November 2024. At the time, the actress described the milestone as “signed, sealed, and delivered,” while giving thanks to God for the successful ceremony.
Sobowale first announced her daughter’s engagement in October 2024, praising Osinloye as “a wonderful and inspiring young man,” and expressing confidence in the couple’s journey together.
Speaking after the traditional ceremony, a family member said, “This is a beautiful moment for the family. We are happy to celebrate love and unity, and we wish the couple a lifetime of happiness.”
Sobowale, who is married to Oludotun Sobowale, has five children. The wedding marks a joyous chapter for the family, as they celebrate the union of their daughter in grand style.
