Wolves officially relegated from EPL after West Ham, Crystal Palace draw

Wolverhampton Wanderers’ relegation from the Premier League has been officially confirmed following West Ham United’s 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace on Monday, a result that made it mathematically impossible for Wolves to survive.

It marks a disappointing end to what has been a difficult campaign for the Midlands club, who struggled for form throughout the season.

Wolves failed to register a league victory until January, and even after that breakthrough, they managed just two additional wins.

Notably, those rare victories came against Aston Villa and Liverpool—results that briefly offered hope but ultimately proved insufficient to turn their season around.

Their drop brings an end to an eight-year stay in the English top flight, with Wolves now set to return to the Championship for the first time since the 2017/18 season.

The relegation confirms a campaign defined by inconsistency, poor results, and an inability to build momentum at crucial stages of the season.
