Chelsea Football Club have confirmed that midfielder Moisés Caicedo has committed his future to the club by signing a fresh long-term contract that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2033.
The Ecuadorian international, who arrived from Brighton & Hove Albion in August 2023, has grown into a central figure within the squad, cementing his importance in midfield.
Since joining the Blues, Caicedo has featured in 140 matches and played a vital role in the club’s successes, including lifting the UEFA Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup.
Reacting to the new deal, the 24-year-old shared his excitement and ambition, “I am so happy to have extended my contract at Chelsea. I believe in this team, this club and I know we’re going in the right direction. We’ve only just begun together.
“There is still a lot more to achieve, and I’m very hungry to keep improving every day. I want to win more trophies with Chelsea and give everything for this club and for the fans.
“We have enjoyed some great times together already and my dream is to become a Chelsea legend, and I will work as hard as possible to make that happen.”
During his time at Stamford Bridge, Caicedo has contributed eight goals, including a strike that earned the club’s 2024 Goal of the Season award.
His performances last campaign also saw him clinch both the Supporters’ Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season honours.
This season, he has taken on added responsibility, captaining the side on multiple occasions, most recently against Manchester City.
Chelsea view the extension as a major step in securing the long-term future of one of their standout performers, as they continue shaping a squad aimed at sustained success.
