Gospel singer Judikay opens up on sixth miscarriage

Nigerian gospel singer, Judikay, has shared a deeply personal account of her struggle with repeated pregnancy loss, drawing emotional reactions from fans across social media.

In a video posted on her Instagram page on Wednesday, the singer recounted a painful experience from February 2025, when she suffered yet another miscarriage after being more than three months pregnant.

Describing the moment, Judikay said the loss was “a pain that almost crushed me.”

She explained that what initially appeared as mild cramps and slight spotting suddenly worsened into heavy bleeding, forcing her to face the heartbreaking reality of another loss, her sixth.

“I was going about my day, and I started to experience cramps… and then trickles of blood… what I thought should be urine was blood. It didn’t stop, it kept on flowing and I was devasted because I understood what that meant. Automatically, I had lost this baby… and that was the sixth time,” she said.

The singer revealed that she was immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors carried out a D&C procedure following what she described as a missed miscarriage.

Though she maintained a composed exterior afterwards, Judikay admitted that the emotional toll remained overwhelming, especially during quiet moments.

“And I returned home, and I say, ‘Oh yes, God gets the glory’… But then in the silence of the night, I would experience pain that I could not express… I would wail and cry and say, ‘Jesus, where are you?’” she added.

Her revelation, shared under the hashtag #MyYeshuaStory, has since resonated widely, sparking an outpouring of empathy and reflection from fans and followers.

Many commenters pointed out the silent battles people endure, with #kelcastlee writing on Instagram, “People are really going through a lot in their lives secretly,” while #idriisgarba posted on X, “6 losses is unimaginable. May you find comfort and peace.”

Others reflected on the intersection of faith and hardship, noting that challenges are not limited to any particular group, including gospel artists.

“Many might say a gospel singer shouldn’t be experiencing such hard times, but then, who were hard times specifically meant for?” #NnayiLexon added on X.
