Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has sent a clear warning to Arsenal, insisting that the Citizens will contest the Premier League title right up to the final whistle.
The Spanish coach issued the statement ahead of City’s Premier League encounter with West Ham on Saturday night, highlighting the strong morale within his squad as they approach the season’s concluding fixtures.
“When you win a lot of titles every game is important. We will fight until the end. A lot of travel we can’t play the same XI,” Guardiola said, emphasizing the challenges of rotation.
“I am not thinking about what we have won. My mind is West Ham. I understand you ask about Madrid but I focus on West Ham and Nuno,” he added, underlining his focus on the immediate challenge.
“We are used to these situations. We won or lose? We won or lose at Newcastle? So the selection was good. All the time we are making decisions and I think a lot about what is best for the team,” Guardiola continued, reflecting on his approach to team management.
“It is a pleasure to be here. It is nice. We arrive in the last ten games and everyone is playing for something. Now there is no second chances,” he concluded, highlighting the intensity of the final stretch of the season.
