Brentford sign Belgian-Nigerian striker Kaye Furo from Club Brugge

Brentford have secured the services of 18-year-old forward Kaye Furo from Belgian Pro League side Club Brugge.

The son of former Nigeria international Furo Iyenemi, Kaye has committed to a five-and-a-half-year deal with the Bees.

The transfer is pending international clearance and work permit approval.

This season, Kaye featured in eight matches for Club Brugge across the UEFA Champions League, Belgian Pro League, and Belgian Cup, registering one goal and one assist.

Brentford head coach Keith Andrews has high hopes for the young talent.

“Kaye is someone we have tracked for a while that we are really excited about bringing to the club,” Andrews told the club’s official website.

“His attributes are ones that I like and feel we can develop within the environment we have created. I have no doubt he will be a big player for us.”

Eligible to represent both Belgium and Nigeria, Kaye has represented Belgium at every youth level, from under-15s to under-21s.
