South Africa’s Bafana Bafana head coach, Hugo Broos, on Monday unveiled his final 25-man squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The squad was selected from an initial 55-man provisional list Broos released two weeks ago, blending the core of players from the team that claimed bronze at AFCON 2023 with emerging talents who impressed through their club performances.
The players are set to convene on 8 December ahead of their journey to Morocco, where they will pursue a historic second continental title.
Bafana Bafana will kick off their AFCON 2025 campaign against Angola’s Palancas Negras on 22 December, before taking on Egypt’s Pharaohs four days later.
The group stage will conclude with a clash against Zimbabwe’s Warriors on 29 December.
The squad will undergo final preparations in camp, with Broos to finalize his matchday selections ahead of the group stage fixtures.
