Falconets thrash Ghana 3-0 to win WAFU B U-20 title

Nigeria’s Falconets continued their dominant run at the WAFU B U-20 Girls Tournament in Bénin Republic with an emphatic 3-0 victory over Ghana’s Black Princesses to clinch the championship title.

The win marked coach Moses Aduku’s side’s second triumph over Ghana in the competition, having earlier defeated them 3-1 at the same Stade Omnisport d’Adjohoun last Saturday.

The Falconets wasted no time asserting their superiority, racing into a two-goal lead within the opening 25 minutes.

Akekoromowei opened the scoring in the 17th minute before Alaba Olabiyi doubled the advantage seven minutes later.
