Popular cleric recounts wife’s miraculous healing from HIV

The founder of Living Word Conquerors Global Assembly, Bishop David Abioye, has shared a remarkable testimony about how his wife, Mary Abioye, was once diagnosed with HIV during the COVID-19 pandemic but was later declared free of the virus following his firm declaration of faith.

The revered cleric disclosed this during a recent sermon, recounting how his unwavering trust in God transformed what appeared to be a terrifying medical report into a story of divine healing.

According to Bishop Abioye, medical experts initially informed him that his wife had tested positive for HIV, but he immediately rejected the report, insisting that such an affliction had no place in his family.

“During COVID, they said my wife had HIV. I said, ‘No, not in this body.’

He explained that after he prayed fervently, standing on the truth of God’s word, his wife underwent another medical test, but this time, the results showed nothing unusual, as the illness had completely vanished.

I told them, ‘Do the check-up.’ They checked and couldn’t find anything there,” he told the congregation.

He further stressed that divine healing, as revealed in the scriptures, demands courage and decisive faith rather than compromise.

“Healing is not for gentlemen. You don’t negotiate sickness to go; you crush it to go. Some people are negotiating with bandits, and that’s why their problems persist,” he said.

Reflecting on the experience, Bishop Abioye explained that the “prince of this world”, referring to Satan, had attempted to test his faith but failed, as God proved His power once again.

Bishop Abioye, who retired from the Living Faith Church (Winners’ Chapel) in 2024, now oversees the Living Word Conquerors Global Assembly, where he continues to preach messages of faith, healing, and triumph in Christ.
