The Confederation of African Football has confirmed that Morocco will host the 2026 FIFA World Cup playoffs.
The mini-tournament will decide which African nation secures a place in the intercontinental play-offs for the global showpiece.
According to CAF, the semi-final fixtures will take place on November 13, 2025, followed by the final on November 16, 2025, all to be staged in Morocco.
The competition will feature the four best second-placed teams from the nine CAF qualifying groups after matchday 10.
Seeding for the draw will be based on the FIFA rankings to be published on October 23, 2025.
The top-ranked team will face the fourth-best side, while the second and third-ranked teams will battle in the other semi-final.
The overall winner of the playoffs in Morocco will represent Africa in the intercontinental play-offs slated for March 2026, where they will face a team from either Asia, South America, Oceania, or CONCACAF for a coveted spot at the World Cup.
