Sanwo-Olu to commission 420-unit Lagos housing estate

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is set to commission a newly completed housing project comprising 420 units in Ajara, Badagry, on Wednesday, October 8.

The project, named Lagos State Housing Estate, Ajara Phase 1, is expected to provide homes for over 2,000 residents, adding significantly to the state’s stock of affordable housing options.

Commissioner for Housing, Moruf Akinderu-Fatai, disclosed this during a media briefing with journalists in his Ikeja office on Tuesday.

He said, “The estate consists of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments designed to meet the needs of different income groups.

“The project is part of Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to completing all ongoing housing projects and ensuring more Lagos residents have access to quality and affordable homes,” he said.

Akinderu-Fatai expressed satisfaction with the completion of the development, adding that it would stimulate economic growth in the Badagry axis.

He also appreciated prospective homeowners for their patience and urged interested applicants to visit the Estate Department of the Ministry of Housing at Block 3, the Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja, for more information.

The commissioner further cautioned the public against dealing with impostors, emphasizing that the ministry does not use agents for the sale of its housing units.
