U-20 WW’Cup: Falconets begin training ahead Rwanda clash

Nigeria’s U-20 women’s national team, the Falconets, have kicked off training in Ibadan as they gear up for the second leg of their 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifying tie against Rwanda’s She-Amavubi.

The decisive encounter is scheduled for Saturday at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasinga, Ibadan.

The Falconets will look to build on their slender 1-0 advantage from the first leg in Kigali last Sunday, courtesy of Alaba Olabiyi’s 70th-minute strike.

Following their return from Rwanda, Moses Aduku’s squad and officials moved directly to Ibadan on Monday, where they were warmly received by the Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon. Wasilat Adegoke.
