Turning Point USA has appointed Erika Kirk as its new Chief Executive Officer following the assassination of her husband, Charlie Kirk, who co-founded and led the conservative youth organization for more than a decade.
The announcement was made by the board in a statement on X, noting that Charlie Kirk had previously expressed his wish for his wife to take over leadership should anything happen to him.
“We will not surrender or kneel before evil. We will carry on,” the board declared.
Since its founding in 2012, Charlie Kirk transformed Turning Point USA into a powerful voice in American conservatism, playing a central role in rallying young voters to Donald Trump’s MAGA movement.
In her first public remarks since her husband’s death, Erika vowed to safeguard and expand his legacy.
“To everyone listening across America, the movement my husband built will not die,” she said on September 12. “My husband’s mission will not end, not even for a moment.” She confirmed that the American Comeback Tour on college campuses will proceed as scheduled this fall.
Erika Kirk, née Erika Frantzve, is 36 and grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona, raised by her mother after her parents’ divorce. She studied political science at Arizona State University, briefly played NCAA basketball, and was crowned Miss Arizona USA in 2012.
She and Charlie Kirk became engaged in 2020 and married the following year. The couple shared two young children.
