Nottingham Forest could be without Super Eagles defender, Ola Aina, for their upcoming Premier League trip to Arsenal on Saturday after the defender picked up an injury while on international duty.
Aina suffered the setback during Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against South Africa on Tuesday, managing just 10 minutes of action at the Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein.
The severity of the injury has not been officially confirmed by Forest, but the versatile full-back faces a race against time to recover ahead of the clash at the Emirates.
Since joining the Tricky Trees, Aina has been a mainstay in the squad, starting every minute of Forest’s opening three league matches against Brentford, Crystal Palace, and West Ham United.
New Forest manager Ange Postecoglou will be hoping the former Torino star avoids a lengthy spell on the sidelines, as the team prepares for a crucial early-season encounter.
