Roy Keane criticizes Bayindir after Man Utd’s loss to Arsenal

Manchester United legend, Roy Keane, did not hold back in his criticism of Altay Bayindir after the Red Devils’ Premier League loss to Arsenal on Sunday.

The trouble began in the 13th minute when Riccardo Calafiori capitalized on a corner from Declan Rice, nodding the ball in after Bayindir failed to claim it cleanly.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, Keane singled out the Turkish goalkeeper for not asserting authority in his own six-yard box.

“Credit to Arsenal, they vary the delivery; they’re attacking it. But if you’re the goalkeeper, take control of the six-yard box,” Keane said.

He added, “Keepers and defenders complain all the time about people getting in their face. You get in their face. Be aggressive. I’ve said it many times for a goalkeeper, come with violence. Take control of it. Far too easy. It’s like schoolboy stuff. Man Utd – weak and soft.”
