Stephen Manyo will be sidelined for Nigeria Super Eagles B’s crucial 2024 African Nations Championship Group D clash against Congo due to a shoulder injury.
The Rivers United defender picked up the injury during training earlier this week and is unlikely to feature in the upcoming encounter.
Manyo had made his CHAN 2024 debut in Nigeria’s 4-0 loss to Sudan at Amman Stadium in Zanzibar on Tuesday, coming on as a second-half substitute for Leonard Ngenege.
In other injury concerns, first-choice goalkeeper Ani Ozoemena remains unavailable as he continues his recovery from a knee problem that kept him out of Nigeria’s previous fixtures.
Nigeria will face Congo next Tuesday at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
