Nigerian billionaire and business magnate, Femi Otedola, is gearing up to unveil a memoir that captures the essence of his decades-long journey in the corporate world.
According to sources close to him, the book’s release is already in advanced stages of preparation.
While specifics such as the memoir’s title, launch date, and publishing house remain undisclosed, Otedola offered a clear hint at its imminent arrival through a post on his verified X account on Wednesday.
“Over the past decade, doors have opened for entrepreneurs in Nigeria that once seemed firmly shut,” he wrote. “This transformation didn’t happen overnight. It’s the result of perseverance, resilience, and the lessons learned from countless setbacks.”
Looking back on his own career, the 62-year-old industrialist reflected on the personal highs and lows that helped define his success, “I’ve walked this path myself, facing challenges and breakthroughs that shaped not just my career but my outlook on what it means to succeed. In the coming weeks, you will be learning about these experiences and my journey to becoming one of Africa’s most successful businessmen.”
He further noted that the forthcoming book is intended to inspire emerging entrepreneurs, “I hope these insights will inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs. I will be sharing something very exciting in the coming days.”
Otedola, renowned for his pivotal influence in Nigeria’s energy and finance landscapes, is the founder of Zenon Petroleum and Gas Ltd and was formerly the majority shareholder in Forte Oil Plc, now known as Ardova Plc.
In recent times, his business interests have increasingly turned to power generation and banking, notably through his investment in Geregu Power Plc and his chairmanship at First Bank of Nigeria Holdings.
Outside the boardroom, Otedola is also admired for his philanthropic efforts, particularly in education, healthcare, and youth empowerment.
