Manchester City have renewed and significantly upgraded their partnership with Puma, signing a groundbreaking contract reportedly worth over £1 billion.
The new agreement, which will run until at least 2035, will see the Premier League champions earn £100 million annually, an increase from the previous £65 million-per-year deal that was set to expire in 2029.
This landmark deal marks the first time a £1bn kit contract has been struck in English football and now stands as the most lucrative annual kit deal in the Premier League.
For comparison, Manchester United entered a 10-year, £900 million agreement with Adidas in July 2023, while Liverpool’s recent multi-year contract with the same brand is valued at around £60 million per season.
Since City’s partnership with Puma began in 2019, the club has enjoyed a golden era under Pep Guardiola, capturing four Premier League titles and completing a historic treble, becoming only the second English side to do so.
Commenting on the deal, CEO of City Football Group, Ferran Soriano, stated “We joined forces with Puma with the ambition to challenge ourselves and go beyond the expectations. We have achieved this and more over the last six seasons. Today’s renewal and extension solidifies our relationship and projects it to an even brighter future.”
Puma’s reach within the City Football Group extends beyond Manchester City, as the German sportswear giant also serves as a kit partner for several affiliated clubs, including Melbourne City, Girona, Mumbai City, Palermo, Lommel, Bahia, Montevideo City Torque, ESTAC Troyes, and Bolívar.
