Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has announced a 35-man provisional squad for Nigeria’s B team ahead of the 8th edition of the African Nations Championship scheduled for August 2025.
The tournament, strictly for players plying their trade in their home countries, will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
Placed in Group D, the Super Eagles B team will square off against defending champions Senegal, as well as Sudan and Congo in the group stage.
A total of 19 nations will participate in this year’s tournament.
Chelle’s provisional Super Eagles B squad in full:
Goalkeepers: Henry Ani, Lawal Mustapha, Ebenezer Harcourt, Kayode Bankole, Nurudeen Badmus.
Defenders: Bankole Afeez, Taiwo Abdulrafiu, Uzondu Harrison, Sodiq Ismaila, Waliu Ojewole, Ngengen Leonard, Ifeanyi Onyebuchi, Stephen Manyo Egbe, Junior Nduka, Mohammed Kabiru.
Midfielders: Saviour Isaac, Musa Zayyad, Haddi Haruna, Adebayo Olamilekan, Adejoh Ojonugwa, Otaniyi Taofik, Papa Daniel Mustapha, Adam Aminu, Michael Tochukwu.
