Arsenal open talks to sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace

Arsenal have taken a significant step in their summer transfer plans by reaching out to the representatives of Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, with a potential move on the horizon.

This development was reported by renowned European transfer journalist, Fabrizio Romano.

According to Romano, Eze, who has emerged as one of the Premier League’s standout creative midfielders outside the traditional ‘big six’, could be available for a fee of $93 million.

The release clause in his contract reportedly allows for payments in installments, making the deal financially appealing for a player of his caliber and age 27, and already an England international.

“Arsenal have made contact with Eberechi Eze’s camp over the weekend,” Romano stated on X.

“Contacts are taking place for Crystal Palace star with #AFC informed on deal conditions.

“Tottenham remain also keen on Eze.”

The interest in Eze isn’t limited to Arsenal alone. Tottenham Hotspur are also closely monitoring the situation, while several other top-flight clubs have shown admiration for the attacking midfielder.

After an impressive campaign, including a heroic performance in the 2024/2025 FA Cup final, where his goal secured a stunning 1-0 victory for Palace over Manchester City, Eze’s stock has never been higher.

The win marked Crystal Palace’s first-ever major trophy in their long history dating back to 1861.

Given Arsenal’s ambitions in both the Premier League and the Champions League next season, Eze could provide a fresh and dynamic option on the left flank, an area where consistency has been lacking, especially with Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard struggling to deliver regularly.

His ability to cut inside and create chances would complement Bukayo Saka’s presence on the right.

Eze now appears poised for a leap to the highest level, and Arsenal, known for investing heavily in proven Premier League talent, seem ready to make their move.
