Real Madrid winger, Vinicius Junior, has voiced strong belief in his team’s chances of clinching the FIFA Club World Cup title this year.

Speaking to Real Madrid TV following his arrival in Florida, where Los Blancos are preparing for the tournament, the Brazilian made it clear that winning the competition is a top priority for the squad.

“We’re really looking forward to winning this first Club World Cup,” Vinicius stated. “People never forget the first, and it’s the only title that Real Madrid don’t have. We’re going for it.”

Having touched down in Florida the previous night, the 23-year-old expressed delight at reuniting with his teammates.

“I arrived last night. I’ve reunited with my teammates, whom I hadn’t seen for a while. I’m very happy and already getting used to the time zone, the heat, the weather, everything. We’re all ready here.”

Vinicius also shared his thoughts on working with new head coach Xabi Alonso.

“We’re training hard, although today was a bit lighter because of the travel. We’re already preparing for the games. I had already spoken to the coach before and I’m really happy. Now it’s time to keep working to win many things with him.”

He briefly touched on the club’s recent arrivals, “I haven’t talked to them much yet, but I’m happy they’ve arrived. I hope it will be a great time for them here.”

With their first match in the tournament drawing near, Vinicius emphasized the importance of readiness, especially in the challenging conditions.

“It’s very hot. The game is at three in the afternoon and we need to be ready because it’s going to be really tough,” he said.
