I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Nigerian Muslims and the global Muslim Ummah as we celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir.

Eid-el-Kabir marks the pinnacle of the sacred first ten days of Dhul Hijjah—a time rich with opportunities for worship and righteous deeds. It is a moment for deep gratitude to Almighty Allah for His abundant mercies upon us, both as individuals and as a nation.

While this festival is often associated with joy and celebration, its deeper meaning lies in the profound values it represents: sacrifice, devotion, and selflessness. To truly honour Eid, we must live by these values, just as Prophet Ibrahim (AS) demonstrated unwavering submission to Allah’s will, and as our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us through his noble example. Let this sacred season renew our commitment to these ideals.

Eid-el-Kabir also calls us to responsibilities that transcend religious observance. It urges us to show resilience, tolerance, compassion, and an unshakable dedication to the progress of our beloved country.

I reaffirm my commitment to these principles and express my deep appreciation for the faith, patience, and perseverance that Nigerians have shown as we roll out bold economic reforms. Together, we have weathered difficult times, and now we stand on the edge of a brighter horizon.

The journey has not been easy. At times, our direction was questioned. But the unwavering resolve of leaders across the public and private sectors—and the steadfast support of the Nigerian people—are now yielding tangible results.

I assure you: the toughest days are behind us. We are stepping into a new era of renewed hope and shared prosperity—the very promise we made two years ago.

We may not yet have reached our desired destination, but I urge all Nigerians not to lose hope. Let us hold fast to our faith and endure with courage. The reforms we have put in place are beginning to take root. Key economic indicators are moving in a positive direction, and soon, the benefits will be felt by all.

Our ultimate goal is not merely to improve statistics, but to transform lives and place Nigeria firmly on a sustainable development path.

There are no shortcuts—but we are determined to rebuild the foundation of our economy, once and for all. This administration remains committed to acting in the best interest of the nation and ensuring that the gains we make translate into real improvements in people’s daily lives.

Our Renewed Hope Agenda was crafted to bring prosperity to every Nigerian, and we remain resolute in its pursuit. As we celebrate Eid today, let us be mindful that this season calls for love, compassion, and generosity toward all—regardless of faith or background. Let us be concerned for one another’s welfare now and always.

At this moment, I recall with sorrow the recent tragic incident of Wednesday, May 28—a heavy flood that overwhelmed the market town of Mokwa in Niger State. The disaster caused the loss of lives, destruction of property, and a significant humanitarian crisis.

Let us remember those who lost their lives in our prayers, and ask for strength and comfort for their loved ones. Let us also stand in solidarity with the government to provide relief and support to the people of Mokwa.

Finally, as we mark this sacred occasion, let us continue to pray for our front-line officers—those who risk their lives daily to protect us and ensure our security. Let us pray for our leaders at every level, and for our nation. Let us also pray for peace in our world, which is beset by so many uncertainties and challenges.

Let this holy celebration be an opportunity for us to seek divine guidance and abundant blessings for Nigeria.

May those who have more extend kindness to those in need. May we all practice generosity, compassion, and unity—upholding the values of perseverance, sacrifice, loyalty, faith, and our shared humanity.

May the joy and blessings of Eid-ul-Adha multiply in our lives and in the life of our great nation.

May Almighty Allah accept our worship and devotion as acts of Ibadah, and may His blessings be with us now and always.
