The spiritual head of INRI Evangelical Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has foretold the disintegration of the African Democratic Congress coalition before the 2027 general elections.
The cleric made the declaration during the recent launch of his annual prophecy book, Warnings to the Nations, attended by Legit.ng.
The ADC was recently unveiled in Abuja as the official platform for Nigeria’s opposition coalition, formed to challenge President Bola Tinubu’s All Progressives Congress. The coalition is spearheaded by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and ex-Anambra Governor Peter Obi, both of whom contested the 2023 presidential election.
Other key figures include former Senate President David Mark, former PDP chairman Uche Secondus, ex-Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai, and former Transportation Minister Rotimi Amaechi.
At the coalition’s unveiling, interim chairman David Mark described the move as an effort to rescue Nigeria’s democracy from becoming a one-party state.
However, Primate Ayodele dismissed the coalition’s viability, stating: “This so-called ADC coalition, there is going to be a serious fight among them. ADC is going to break. That is too certain. But the point remains that for ADC to be relevant, they have to go the extra mile physically, spiritually, technically, and by all means.”
He also issued a stark warning to President Tinubu, saying: “Tinubu must know this: people are tired of his government, they don’t want his government anymore. What is on the ground goes beyond people crossing to his party. What are you going to do to see that people love your government again? People don’t love Tinubu’s government anymore. This is the message of the Lord. God bless.”
In a previous statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, and shared with Legit.ng, Primate Ayodele cautioned Tinubu about alleged plans by northern elites to unseat him democratically in 2027. He cited discontent over economic policies and widespread hardship as driving forces behind the opposition’s desperation.
The cleric urged the president not to underestimate the ADC coalition, warning: “They will follow the spiritual path of ‘Emilokan’ except the president makes adjustments.”
Ayodele’s prophecies, published annually since 1994, have drawn attention for their political forecasts. His latest predictions cast doubt on the ADC’s stability while reinforcing concerns over Tinubu’s declining public support ahead of the next election cycle.
