Tottenham Hotspur booked their spot in the Europa League final with a solid 2-0 win over Bodo/Glimt, keeping their hopes alive for Champions League qualification next season.
On a rain-soaked artificial pitch deep in northern Norway, Spurs adopted a cautious approach, starting with two holding midfielders.
The strategy proved effective early on, as the visitors managed the game well and prevented Bodo/Glimt from mounting any real threat in the first half.
The pattern remained much the same after the break, with the Norwegian side aware that a single goal could change the dynamics of the tie.
But it was Tottenham who struck first just after the hour. A corner from Mathys Tel found Cristian Romero, whose header was poked home by Dominic Solanke. That breakthrough all but ended Bodo/Glimt’s chances.
Six minutes later, Spurs doubled their advantage. Pedro Porro swung in a cross intended for Solanke, but the ball curled in off the far post, catching everyone off guard.
The victory sets up an all-English Europa League final against Manchester United, marking Tottenham’s first European final appearance since the 2019 Champions League showdown.
