13 players arrive Super Eagles Uyo camp

Thirteen players have checked into the Super Eagles’ camp in Uyo as preparations intensify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa.

Skipper William Troost-Ekong led the first set of arrivals at the team’s base, Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, alongside goalkeeper Amas Obasogie, defender Felix Agu and midfielder Raphael Onyedika on Monday.

Team media officer Promise Efoghe confirmed that nine more players joined on Tuesday morning.

They include Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Ola Aina and Bright Osayi-Samuel. Moses Simon, Chidozie Awaziem, Adebayo Adeleye and youngster Benjamin Fredericks also linked up with the squad.

The camp is expected to be filled up before the end of today, with ten more players still being awaited.

Jose Peseiro’s men will hold their first official training session tonight at the practice pitch of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
